Privacy Policy for Face Recognition via AI Hub
Upon binding the designated Cam product associated with AI Hub, our AI Hub device will provide facial recognition services. On the basis of your agreement to our App Privacy Policy (see Profile → Preference → About), please further review the following terms to fully understand how we collect, transmit, use, and store your information when you use AI Hub’s facial data collection service, as well as how we protect such information. Please ensure that you fully understand and consent to the contents of this Policy. You have the right to refuse this Policy; however, if you do so, we will be unable to provide you with AI Hub’s facial recognition service.
Please note:This feature is limited to residential use. It must not be used for any commercial or public purposes, nor for the collection or use of others’ personal information or for unlawful purposes. Recognition results may be affected by lighting or environmental conditions. For visitors to your home, you must inform them that their personal information may be collected, and obtain their consent before using this feature. The information collected may also involve personal characteristics, activities, and home environment details of you or other individuals (including children).
1.Collection, Transmission, and Use of Personal Information
Once you consent to enable this feature, the designated Cam product associated with AI Hub will begin collecting your video footage and transmitting it to AI Hub. AI Hub will then extract facial information (such as name and facial photo) and apply labeling. Alternatively, you may transmit facial information to AI Hub by taking a photo or actively uploading one through the App (in cases of remote upload, facial information is transmitted via cloud servers, but such servers do not store the facial information).
AI Hub will send the labeling results in message form via cloud servers to your App for notification. The App will match the labeling results with events for your review of the corresponding video or images. If you have configured automation scenarios, AI Hub will upload the labeling results to cloud servers for the purpose of triggering such automations.
2.Storage of Personal Information
Your video footage and facial information will be stored locally on AI Hub, while labeling results in message form will be uploaded to and stored on cloud servers. You may review and download facial information stored in the App as needed. Facial information collected by AI Hub will be stored on its built-in SD card.
For the purposes of data use, during the transmission, use, and storage of the above information, we may apply anonymization measures to your personal information, rendering it impossible to identify you as the data subject or to restore the structured data to its original form. 3.Withdrawal of Consent
Facial recognition functionality constitutes a fundamental feature of AI Hub. We fully respect your data rights. If you wish to deactivate the facial recognition feature, you must delete AI Hub, after which we will no longer collect or process your information in the manner described under this Policy. For facial information stored locally on AI Hub, you may delete it manually. Should you choose to (re)bind Cam products, you will be deemed to have accepted and acknowledged this Policy, as it is a necessary prerequisite for provision of this feature.
