We use it as a baby monitor connected to the camera in the bedroom, so when our baby wakes up, stands up, or starts moving, we get notified right away and can react immediately.

Our baby isn’t doing this yet, but if they ever try to climb over the playpen, it would alert us instantly—so it feels incredibly reassuring and practical!

The design is also very clean and minimal, which I personally love.

From packaging, to installation hardware, ease of sizing & cutting. This company thought of everything! It's so simple, yet EXTREME thought went into the design & engineering. Honestly one of the best products I've seen in a long long time. I've been running it both in the app & Home Assistant for a few weeks now & it's been flawless. With the solar panel, I don't think I'll ever need to charge it. Integrate with some mmw sensors & no interaction needed. It just works. A truly superb product. Not done with my install yet. I'll be framing the top & bottom. Then asking some nice light blocking fabric. Basically a picture frame. Oh! And for me, it fit my old bracket holes perfectly so I just swapped brackets, I didn't even drill.

Now I have 9 switchbot tilts, I love them. Our 2” faux wood blinds have 3” valance. The 3 inch valance clips don’t have behind space for switchbot head at all, I tried many different clips but no luck. So I just installed them on the outside of valances and it works just fine and don’t hurt eyes.

I have transom window(above window) in bedroom, too bright. I installed Light Filtering 1” Vinyl blind (72” width $26 at homedepot) and Switchbot then set it to open or close the blinds depending on the brightness. No more dazzling eyes.

Small tips.
1. If you need to relocate the switchbot head, use hair dryer to heat the adhesive tape for 5 seconds then remove slowly, it will be off cleanly.
2. If your blind valances are 3”, you need High Profile Wand Tilter.
3. I highly recommend Modtek brand or fiberglass wands.
4. If you need clips for 3” faux wood valances, I recommend Amazing Drapery Hardware (B01C20KWF8) clips.
5. If blind valances have engraving, mounting base B is more stable.

I was able to install the Ultra on my existing mortise lock without using the adapter kit, and it worked beautifully.
Our front entry door uses a high-grade commercial mortise lock that looks elegant and premium. My wife wasn’t willing to replace it with a typical smart lock set, so I had to find a solution that could integrate with the existing hardware. The Ultra turned out to be the perfect answer.
Instead of using the adapter kit, I secured the Ultra directly onto the metallic top plate of the mortise lock using high-quality double-sided tape. The alignment worked out perfectly
• The turning concave of the Ultra fits over the existing turn key.
• The internal light spring maintains just the right amount of tension.
• The coupling stays tight, smooth, and reliable.
The result is clean, seamless, and fully functional, all without compromising the aesthetics or quality of our original lock.
Highly recommended if you have a mortise lock you want to keep and still upgrade to a smart system.

The curtain opener is a gamechanger. I had no idea I was missing this in my life. It seems like such a small thing, but waking up to the light and not having to manually close up the house to leave is amazing. I have the curtains on a schedule to automatically open in the morning and close in the evening. If I leave the house sooner, I just tell Alexa to close the curtains. And my boyfriend, who can't be bothered with all the "smart" stuff, just presses the remote button to open/close the curtains (no getting off the couch!). I was also able to set up "scenes", which are groups of custom actions, so the curtains and blinds (sold separately) will all open/close at once. I do own the Hub 2.

There are three modes. The power of Standard Mode moves the curtains quickly. There's also a QuietDrift Mode that moves very slowly but isn’t audible at all, and finally Silent Mode, which is in between the two. I added a video of QuietDrift Mode to show how truly quiet they can be. I was worried since we have two curtains and a support bar in the middle of the rod that they wouldn't close fully, but they do.

Pros:

-Easy setup: Instructions are easy to follow and it's plug and play to connect to the app and Alexa (or your chosen smart system). Auto calibration automatically sets close and open points. The smart design slides right over the rod.

-Multiple open methods: Schedule, remote, or voice (hub required); app; light sensing (solar panel required); or just manually start moving the curtains and they automatically take over.

-Charging: A single charge is long lasting, but there's also an optional solar panel (sold separately). The charging cable is generously long so I didn't even take them down to charge (although you could just easily unclip it to charge).

-Support: There are multiple ways to contact support inclduing email, app, and phone. They are easy to get in touch with and respond quickly. (I contacted them with questions on a different product.)

-Trusted Company: Switchbot is well known and recieved in the smart automation space. The device feels well made and built to last.

Things to Know:

-Multiple Products: You do need the app, remote, hub (sold separately), and solar panel (sold separately) to fully take advantage of all the capabilities. However, you do not need those things for basic functionality. As long as you expect this, you can tailor your experience. I imagine there will be a package deal in the future like they have with their other products.

I wasn’t sure if this curtain opener was going to be worth upgrading from my current Curtain Rod 2, but after hooking it up with my SwitchBot Hub 2, I’m honestly impressed. Setup was quick—clipped it onto the rod, added the little magnets, and had it running in about five minutes.

The motor is strong enough to handle my heavy blackout curtains without a problem, and it moves really smoothly. The QuietDrift mode is great—it barely makes a sound, so I can have the curtains open in the morning without waking anyone.

I also added the solar panel, which keeps the battery topped up. Haven’t had to plug it in once since I set it up.

With the Hub 2, I’ve got it tied into my routines so the curtains open when I wake up and close at night. It feels pretty fancy not having to touch them anymore.

Only thing I’d say is make sure your curtain rod is the right size. Mine worked fine, but I could see that being an issue for some people.

Overall, this has been one of those “didn’t realize how much of an upgrade this would be until I tried it” purchases. Super easy to set up, works reliably, and honestly makes daily life a little smoother.

I am cool with this product. I have been wanting smart curtains for a while but didn't want to deal with replacing my rods. This was the perfect solution. The curtain bots just clip right on, and I was able to get this set of my bedroom curtains working in under couple minutes.
The remote is great for me and my wife to use, once I have linked it to my phone and my Alexa, so now I can just say Alexa, open my curtains in the morning. it's really cool tho. It's been a while, batteries are still going strong. I love the little hum the motor makes, it is waking up with me lol.
